Conceptualizing Industry 4.0 readiness model dimensions: an exploratory sequential mixed-method study

Purpose Organizations use Industry 4.0 readiness models to evaluate their preparedness prior the implementation of 4.0. Though there are many studies on models, dimensions differ. Besides, is no study empirically validating model in different sectors or types organization. The purpose this conceptualize and subsequently criticality these manufacturing, service, small medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) large (LEs). Design/methodology/approach uses an exploratory sequential mixed method design. In phase one, 37 senior managers participated through a purposive sampling frame. two, 70 online survey. Findings results indicated that has 10 dimensions. Further, as applied type organizations put forward. This will help services, SMEs LEs before commencing deployment Practical implications findings can be very beneficial for practitioners organisations understand what need considered technology. Originality/value paper makes attempt utilizes critically evaluating related model.
